Nearby, the recommended Osteria Il Gallo Giallo offers authentic Tuscan cuisine. Less than 2 km away is Borgo Macchiavelli, once the residence of diplomat and philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli, who wrote The Prince here. Today the borgo is known for its architecture and is home to Tuscany’s oldest restaurant, L’Albergaccio, where wine tastings are also offered. Florence is just 15 km away, with Siena and San Gimignano perfect for day trips.

The holiday home is painted in a warm terracotta tone and features a terrace along the front with a comfortable seating area and dining table beneath a gazebo, ideal for alfresco meals with views of the hills. Mediterranean planting, lawns, a children’s playground and a hot tub under a pergola enhance the gardens. Below the house lies the beautiful pool.

Inside, the two–storey holiday home with tower has been carefully restored. Terracotta floors and beamed ceilings preserve the traditional character, while neutral wall colours and authentic Tuscan furnishings, including many antique pieces, create an elegant and welcoming atmosphere.
