Fonte al Melo is a charming countryside villa  set in the rolling hills of the Maremma, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It offers a tranquil escape for those seeking authentic taste of Tuscan life. With its 360-degree views, generous interiors and expansive gardens, it is ideal for a relaxing holiday with family or friends.

The nearest village is Istia d’Ombrone, around eight kilometres away, with small shops and restaurants. The wine town of Scansano is just 15 kilometres away and worth visiting for its panoramic views and historic centre. Two excellent wineries, Podere Casina and Fattoria San Felo, are less than ten minutes away by car. The hilltop village of Campagnatico is another lovely destination, home to good restaurants like Il Bronzo and a fortress mentioned in Dante’s Divine Comedy. The regional capital Grosseto is just 20 minutes away, as are the beaches of Marina di Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia. The hot springs of Saturnia and the city of Siena also make excellent day trips.

The natural stone house, partially rendered, is surrounded by lawns, terracotta planters filled with flowers, and mature trees that provide shade for outdoor meals or quiet moments. A pool and table tennis offer extra enjoyment.

The two-storey house has been carefully restored. In several places the original stonework has been left exposed, forming a striking contrast to the white-painted walls. Wooden beamed and brick-vaulted ceilings, together with large fireplaces, add rustic character. The furnishings are traditional yet comfortable and create a warm Tuscan atmosphere.
