Morleschio is perfectly situated for visiting the highlights of Umbria, Perugia (the mini metro from car parks off the ring road is inspired for those accessing the city centre,) Orvieto, Gubbio, Assisi, Narni and Montefalco. Alessandro is a perfect host - he provided us with names and directions to a number of local restaurants on our arrival and reserved a table for us on our first night. During our stay one of the toilets in the hose developed a leak which he had sorted very quickly. The house itself is very comfortable and with thick stone walls remained during the day and night which given the hight temperatures, high 30s, was a Godsend. The one criticism we would have is in relation to the external areas and maintenance of same. The pathway from the car parking area to the house is overgrown and full of weeds. I appreciate that we were the first rental of the season but this should have been addressed. The patio area is small and similiarly overgrown restricting views and making the access steps quite dangerous. In addition the patio furniture whilst quite new is not comfortable and would not encourgae long lingering meals. The pool is lovely - however the chairs/tables and recliners appear old and not the cleanest - would suggest they be replaced. Restuarants in the vicinity are plentiful. Villa Taticchi is a lovelyspot with very good food, and wine list, served in a garden. Osteria del Donca in Ponte Pattoli is somewhat quirky but a very good option and recommended. Braccesca Anima & Gusto is another good option for Pizza/pasta and meat - again in PP and quite close to Donca. For a more sophisticated experience II Castelllero Country House is recommended - restaurant is part of a larger complex that includes accommodation - rooms and apartments. Further afield Bosco has a number of good options - Bosco 131 is recommended (note this appears on various listing we have seen as Osteria del Bosco and has a web presence at that name. Finally for that special meal - food, wine and ambiance try La Locanda dei Golosi just outside Bosco. This property also provides accommodation. Our worst dining experience was in Trillogy - food was OK but the service was atrocious, food was delivered to incorect tables, could see it being returned to the kitchen. Its not that there were insuffient staffing levels, simply disorganised. Maybe we hit it on a bad night
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback from your recent stay at Morleschio. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the location and appreciated Alessandro's assistance and hospitality throughout your holiday, particularly in relation to the plumbing issue and the additional support he provided during your stay. We are, however, sorry to learn that the property's outdoor areas did not meet your expectations. We have been in contact with the property owner to discuss the points raised regarding the maintenance of the garden, patio, access areas and pool surroundings. We take your comments very seriously as they help us maintain and improve the quality of the properties we represent and are grateful for your invaluable feedback and your longstanding loyalty. We hope to welcome you To Tuscany again soon.
