Mulino La Pietra

Mulino La Pietra is a unique and historic villa set in an idyllic location on the banks of a small river. Once a traditional olive mill, the building has been meticulously restored with great care and attention to detail. Many original elements have been preserved, allowing guests to appreciate the building’s history. The old olive press, now a striking feature in the living area, serves as a reminder of the villa's fascinating past.

The small village of Pietrapiana is just a short stroll away and offers a pizzeria and a small grocery shop. The charming historic town of Reggello lies about 2 km away and provides a variety of shops, a supermarket and several restaurants. During the summer months this pretty town is also popular with residents of Florence who come here to enjoy the cooler countryside. Only about 15 minutes away by car is the Vallombrosa nature reserve and monastery. This impressive monumental abbey is surrounded by forests and one of the most important tree collections in Italy, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and exploring. Florence itself is only 45 km away, while Arezzo can be reached in under an hour by car, making both cities ideal for memorable day trips.

The two-storey villa is built from local natural stone. Parts of the stonework have been left exposed, while the remaining façade has been rendered and painted in a soft shade of pink. Outside, a dining terrace beneath a pergola invites guests to enjoy meals al fresco. A hot tub provides the perfect place to relax while listening to the gentle sound of the nearby stream.

Inside, traditional Tuscan wooden beamed ceilings painted white are combined with modern yet comfortable furnishings, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
