Castellina in Chianti can be reached in just ten minutes by car or in around twenty minutes on foot and offers good restaurants, shops and supermarkets, as well as one of the best ice cream parlours in the area, the Gelateria di Castellina. Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and Arezzo are all easily accessible for enjoyable day trips.
About the villa
La Querce is a single story semi-detached villa with a spacious stone-paved terrace and a shaded outdoor dining area, perfect for enjoying alfresco meals while taking in the lovely views over the vineyards and towards nearby Castellina. Inside, traditional Tuscan wooden beamed ceilings give the rooms their distinctive charm, complemented by comfortable furnishings that create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The holiday apartment is in a very quiet location 700 m from the road. From the spacious terrace, you can look out over vineyards. The apartment is located about 2 km from the centre of the village. There is a grocery store with a good range of products, many small shops and several restaurants here. The host, Martina, speaks English. She will give you lots of helpful tips (places to visit, parking facilities there, and much more). Her parents, who live on the winery (right next to the holiday apartment), speak Italian and are very friendly people. Linen and towels are changed after a week's stay. A large fridge and a small freezer are available. The gas cooker works well. The Wi-Fi is very stable. The pool is about 30 m from the apartment and is very nice. An outdoor barbecue is available. The parking space is right in front of the apartment. Bicycles can be parked on the terrace, where they are safe. Shutters for blocking out light are available in all rooms.
