Tignano

Tignano was built in the 11th century as a viewing post for the nearby castle and today offers an idyllic retreat for families and groups of friends wishing to spend their holiday surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan landscape of vineyards, olive groves and rolling hills.

The small town of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa is only about 3 km away and offers a COOP supermarket, local shops and restaurants. For wine lovers, the renowned Marchesi Antinori winery, less than a 15-minute drive away, is a real highlight. Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra and Siena are also perfect destinations for memorable day trips.

Built from local stone, the villa sits in a peaceful hillside position and features a covered terrace running along the front of the house. Furnished with a large dining table, it is the perfect place to enjoy meals outdoors while admiring the beautiful garden with its mature trees. Stone steps lead down to the lower terrace where the large pool awaits  -  an inviting spot to relax and take in the tranquillity of the surroundings.

Inside, the two-storey holiday home has been lovingly restored, preserving its traditional Tuscan character. Wooden beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and an original fireplace create warmth and charm. The modern kitchen with stainless steel fronts and a large professional cooker will delight anyone who enjoys cooking. All rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished, ensuring guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

The owner’s son and his family live next door, but they do not use the pool or the villa’s gardens.
