Cortona also has a strong creative scene, with art, photography, jewellery making, and ceramics. Below Cortona is Camucia, offering supermarkets and everyday shops. Lake Trasimeno is about 25 minutes away and offers many leisure activities and water sports. Nearby cities such as Arezzo, Siena, and Perugia, along with hill towns like Montepulciano and Montalcino, make excellent day trips. The area is also known for its wineries offering tastings and tours.
